• Computer Pupil Ratios-
• August 2002
• 111 in each primary school (18 by August 2004)

• Broadband in all secondary schools and as many
  primary schools as funding will permit
• Secure, networked access to MIS to relevant
  school staff by August 2003.

Laptops for Teachers Scheme - Overview

• DfES Initiative to ensuring teachers have ready
  access to a computer to undertake their jobs
  effectively
• 2 year programme - 100m funding provided via
  Standards Fund (100)
• First phase in Summer 2002
• LEA to determine allocations and priorities
• Priority given to Headteachers
• Thereafter teachers who havent received a laptop
  under a government funded programme during last 3
  years
