History of Tribology UK The Tribology UK, the
student networking event has reached its 5th
anniversary after the successful launch at Leeds,
Sheffield, Imperial College and Leeds again in
the past four years. This student-led two day
event includes student presentation, laboratory
tour, professional experience testimonies and the
opportunity for young researchers to exchange
ideas in the wide range of fields in Tribology.
These areas include automotive tribology,
coating development, bio-tribology, lubricated
contacts, surface roughness, tribochemistry and
modelling. Location Southampton is one of the
most lively and dynamic cities in the south of
England. It offers a vibrant and varied
nightlife, numerous leisure facilities, superb
heritage attractions, bustling marinas, beautiful
parks and great places to eat and drink. There
is something for everyone and Southampton is a
perfect blend of new and old. The city of
Southampton is a major port in the south of
England. Southampton has harboured the great
ocean liners such as the Queen Elizabeth 2, the
Queen Mary 2 and more recently the Queen Victoria
in December 2007.
