and combined it with qualities from Moster
    school.

5
Building a new school
  • Some history about the old Moster school
  • Too small, bad condition
  • Large involvement building a new school
  • The planning process
  • What did we want for our pupils?
  • What will they need?
  • Traditional or modern architecture?
  • Ordinary classrooms ore open landscapes?

6
What we chose
  • We chose to focus on flexibility, areas with a
lot of possibilities, enough place for the pupils
so they can learn, grow and develop.
  • The school building has an open layout with many
smaller rooms (break-out rooms), which permit
    different forms of teaching
  • Increased possibility to tailor teaching to
    pupils needs

7
School facilities layout
  • Three main buildings

called the knowledge promotion, which puts strong
emphasis on the ability to make use of ICT.

hardware 200 laptops for pupils and staff,
projectors in classrooms and common rooms.
  • Its learning (a Virtual Learning Environment)
    used extensively

    staff, pupils and parents

used by the children in their basic training.

    environment

    learning and development

11
School meal 3. og 4. grade twice a week
  • We use the cantina-area
  • Everyone has to clear up after the meal

12
All pupils are of equal worth, but none of
them are alike.
  • Moster school is inclusive there must be room
    for all.
  • Children with special needs are included in their
respective grade, with education in classroom or
    various break-out rooms.
  • We wish to strive for the ideal goal which is to
give all pupils adapted and differentiated
education based on their own abilities and needs.
