What did you do at school last week?

In Literacy lessons, we are studying Stories Set
in Imaginary Worlds. We have based our unit of
work around The Lion, the Witch and the
Wardrobe. We are working in pairs to write our
version of the story so we can practise our
paragraphing and ability to write in chapters.

In History lessons, we are studying Ancient
Egypt. We made and decorated a sarcophagus.
Next, we made a mummy to go inside it using
Modroc (bandages containing Plaster of Paris.)

In Design Technology lessons, we have been making
pencil cases. First, we began by looking at
examples of pencil cases of our own and how they
were made. We have worked hard to produce pencil
cases that are well made with a motif which we
designed to personalise them. All that is left to
do is to use them so we can evaluate them.

As part of our Literacy work, we have a weekly
Guided Reading session where we work with Mrs
Wong. We read the same book together as a group.
Mrs Wong asks us questions about what we have
read. She might ask us to find good examples of
descriptions or give evidence to support our
opinions. We have a follow up task to do over
the course of the following week before we read
together again. We might have to read the next
chapter ourselves, write a summary or answer some
questions about what we have read.

In Science lessons, we are studying
Characteristics of Materials. We used a website
to research about different materials. We have
looked at the following site together in
