A Gentle Reminder
  • Please keep in mind that correct coding on answer
    documents is very important. Mistakes can
    significantly impact accreditation ratings.

Subject Area Test Booklets
  • Test booklets will be no longer be combined test
    booklets
  • Each subject area is a separate test booklet
    (i.e., the need to have four different subject
    area form numbers)
  • If form numbers are not on the answer document,
    tests CANNOT be scored

Spiraled Packages ofTests Booklets
  • Test booklets will be spiraled
  • Books should be handed out in the order they are
    taken out of the package The core items will be
    the same
  • Field test items will be different
  • Remember--Field test items do not count into a
    students score

STC Responsibilities
  • Identify students to be tested
  • Determine when/where tests are to be administered
  • Select examiners and determine testing groups
  • Determine the need for proctors

    Agreement (Please note the strong language for
    blatant intentional security breaches)

  • Conduct secure check out of materials to
    examiners
  • Monitor test administration
  • Identify and resolve testing irregularities
  • Conduct secure check in of materials from
    examiners at the end of each testing session
  • Make sure all materials are accounted for BEFORE
    the examiner leaves the room

  • Review each bundle of answer documents
  • Answer documents for each grade level/subject
    area can be bundled under one headerthe Group

Avoiding Irregularities
  • Accommodations
  • Know which students need accommodations and what
    those accommodations are
  • Remember that Read Aloud accommodations need to
    be taped
  • Dictation to a scribe must also be taped
  • Noise
  • Be sure everyone in the school knows testing is
    taking place
  • Plan not to make announcements during this time

Avoiding Irregularities
  • Lost answer documents
  • Follow secure check in/out procedures with
    examiners
  • Make sure examiners know all materials must be
    accounted for before students leave the
    roomPlease do not make exceptions
  • Disruptive Students
  • Try to anticipate who these students will be and
    test them in another location

  • If there are no answers for a test, make sure the
    testing status is filled in
  • Mark only one reason

    forms to expedite return of scores

Credit Requirements for Transfer Students
  • Students transferring during the 11th grade or
    beginning of 12th grade need one verified credit
    in English and one in a subject of the students
    choice for a STANDARD DIPLOMA
  • Students transferring during the 11th grade or
    beginning of 12th grade need one verified credit
    in English and three in subjects of the students
    choice for an ADVANCED STUDIES DIPLOMA
