Fondation de France

• Was established in 1969 to promote philantropy by
  
• - giving individuals or companies the
  possibility to create their own fondation under
  its aegis
• - setting up action programs in many fields such
  as national and international solidarity,
  environnment, culture, health and medical reserch

• 547 000 donors
• 571 private foundations under aegis
• 7 regional delegations
• Equivalent of 130 full-time staff and more than
  430 voluntary workers
• Almost 7000 grants, awards and scolarship
  amounting to 81 millions euros.

• 571 foundations attached to the FDF, among which
  55 created by compagnies
• The donor or testator choose the purpose of his
  foundation and has an autonomy in terms of
  decision-making

Fondation de France programs

• The FDF runs about 30 programs covering many
  fields of the general interest
• Programs are constantly adapted to respond to the
  most urgent needs of society
• We support association or community projects,
  usually operating in small structures
• We try to respond to the new social needs, to
  which ones public institutions do not respond
  innovating local actions leaded by associations
  or collective services.

An example the disabled people program from
1999 to 2006

• Was created for all ages and all disabilities
• It aims was to uphold respect for freedom of
  choices for individuals and families
• And to respond to the lack of help in every day
  life fot disabled children and adults and for
  natural carers, accessibility and integration in
  nurseries, schools, summer camps respite or
  short break centers and services.

• Private homes and homecare services for adults
• Respite centers for week-ends and holidays
• Leisure centers for children both disabled and
  non disabled
• School integration services
• all types of centers and services which are
  complementary to traditional specialised
  institutions
