MFH Maintenance
  • General Maintenance
  • MFH Contractor (Dong Buk) conducts maintenance of
    your quarters 24/7 (including Holidays)

  • Elevators
  • Elevator maintenance contract awarded July
  • 30 of all base elevators require major repair
  • Repairs are being prioritized across entire base
    some dormitories have no working elevator.
  • 52K was obligated for repair the MFH elevators
  • Self Help Bldg 657, 784-5793
  • All self-help work requires approval through MFH
    office, including painting of the interior walls

Pets
  • Owners must ensure their pets do not defecate
    and/or urinate in the elevators, in the hallways,
    or on the bushes, flowers, and similar vegetation
  • Two-pet rule Caged animals (i.e. bird) fall
    under the two-pet rule
  • Residents should report animal violations (loose
    animals, stray, nuisance animals, animal bites,
    abuse, cruelty, etc) to Security Forces, BLDG
    1425, OR CALL 784-5515

  • The individual who creating false fire alarms in
    August has been charged with three criminal
    offenses
  • Never Leave Candles or Cooking Unattended
  • Two Fires in PACAF this CY, Osan and Yokota
  • Bathroom fire at Osan in July
  • Do Not Use Propane Patio-Heaters on Balconies
  • Dispose of Smoking Materials Properly

15 Jul/0900 Ignition Source Burning Candle with
Glass Enclosure Story Resident dependent (RD)
had a candle burning in glass near bathroom wall.
Suddenly, RD heard a something popped and
checked the bathroom. RD found the corner of the
bathroom wall was catching a fire and the
flame/heat melted the sprinkler cover. After the
fire melted the cover (1 ea), a sprinkler head
popped out. RD put fire out using a cup of
water. Note Fire extinguisher was not
used. Damage Cost 800 Note Wall appeared
to have been repainted POC 51 CES, 22 Jul 09

Property Storage
  • Due to fire safety, no property will be placed or
    stored in stairwell, landings, corridors,
    entrances or sidewalks
  • Residents CANNOT store stuff within 18 inches
    from sprinkler heads
  • Residents CANNOT hang anything on the fire
    suppression system (including water pipes)

    regularly checked, how do residents know the
    results?
  • 2. Who can we address concerns regarding COLA
    that is, the insufficiency of it?
  • 3. What is being done locally to help an
    increasing number of AD spouses find employment?
  • 4. What is the base commander policy on dogs that
    bite and the bites have been documented? If a
    dog has been reported to the vet clinic and
    housing offices for biting other dogs and/or
    humans, what should happen to that dog? How many

  • 5. When will our elevators be fixed? I have
    lived here for over 1 year and elevator 2 has
    been broken for that amount of time.
  • 6. Will security cameras be installed in the
    towers? If not, there need to be foot patrol of
    some sort especially during the summer months
    when all the vandalism occurs.
  • 7. How do you get a Command Sponsored billet if
    you are already here?
