Mission

• Help Adults and Seniors to communicate in Spanish
  without grammatical worries.
• To help Adults and Seniors to converse in Spanish
  when traveling, cruising and dealing with daily
  life issues.

Outline of the course

• Students will learn the basics to get along. The
  course focuses on conversation it covers
  subjects pertaining to adults daily lives
• Greetings and farewells, answering the
  telephones, how to order a meal, get together and
  celebrations.
• How to deal with traveling issues, situations
  at the airport, how to discuss prices, hotels
  matters, etc.
• Planning outdoor activities, talking about
  sports, daily routine, getting ready to go out,
  talking about places, shopping, etc.
• Dealing with car situations, car rental,
  transportation, emergencies, doctors, health
  issues, bank and national currencies, etc. are
  some of the subjects to cover.
• The beginners course last approximately 25 to 28
  weeks. By the end of the course students who
  apply themselves should be able to converse with
  good degree of confidence about daily life
  matters.

Schedule

• Mondays and Wednesdays
• 700 pm to 830 pm.
• Note Schedule can change. Please call for
  available days and hours.

• 90 minutes session twice a week
• days Mondays and Wednesdays
• Time from 700 pm to 830 pm
• Registration 69 (including book, CD and
  access to the Lab 24/7)
• Tuition 16.89 per 90 minutes session
• ( 11.25 per 60 minutes class)

FACTS

• Bilinguals have bigger brains, claim some
  British scientists who discovered that people who
  can speak two languages have more grey matter in
  the language region of their brains. Other
  studies find that seniors who are fluent in two
  languages respond more quickly on tasks, and
  remember better their monolingual counterparts.
  Research has suggested that mental activity helps
  protect older adults from mental decline. The
  constant management of two competing languages
  certainly enhances the brain's functions.
• Learning a second language can possibly prevent
  memory loss.

About DIANA REESE

• Colombian Native. Finishing a Masters Degree in
  Education with Capella University in MN.
• Classes are focused on conversation. Students
  gain confidence to talk freely. I have taught
  both adults and children at
• Hampton University in Hampton, VA. (2000)
• Peninsula Catholic High School in Newport News,
  VA. (1999-2003) With first place in VA in the
  AATSP (National Spanish Exam) in 2002/03 and
  4th. 3rd in the nation same periods, in their
  first attempt including students with learning
  differences.
• Currently I teach onsite classes to professionals
  in different areas, adults and to children. I
  also teach on-line classes.
