Rely on the Power of Prayer

• Description
• God answers prayer and always keeps his promises
• Prayer will be an integral part of everything we
  do at the North Canton Church of Christ
• Plan
• Practice our intentions and make prayer a habit
  in all that we do.
• Utilize prayer groups and focused prayer
  sessions.
• Establish prayer training sessions.
• Establish periodic prayer walks that will focus
  prayer on specific events or activities.

Build and Train Church Leadership

• Description
• To motivate, train, and equip our current and
  future leaders for service to God
• Plan
• Add to the eldership as the Holy Spirit leads.
• Conduct Leadership Training Class every three
  years, minimum.
• Conduct yearly planning sessions with leadership,
  work area leaders and deacons. Emphasize
  concepts as described in the book, They Smell
  like Sheep.

Revitalize Worship

• Description
• The congregation will be encouraged to express
  their love of God in the worship services - which
  will become more of a celebration of Gods Love
• Plan
• Prayer preparation for services
• Conduct a Praise and Honoring workshop.
• Provide training to song leaders to up the pace
  and energy level.
• Establish a mentoring program for worship
  leadership, communications and song leading.

Missions

• Description
• North Canton Church of Christ will support
  mission work in these three areas local,
  national, and international. The support will
  come in the form of prayer, financial, and
  material resources.
• Plan
• All missions work areas will be evaluated every
  12 months to determine continuation or
  termination of a particular project. Part of the
  evaluation criteria will include communication
  (written, telephone, newsletter, etc),
  accessibility of work area, visible effort and
  fruit, etc

Evangelism

• Description
• Add souls to the Kingdom through Bible studies
  that convert believers to Jesus and not to
  religion.
• Plan
• The scope of what is needed and involved in this
  effort will cover a variety of programs and
  approaches. Each will target a specific group or
  need that is seen in North Canton.

Benevolence

• Description
• Therefore I commend you to be openhanded toward
  your brothers and toward the poor and needy in
  your land. Deuteronomy 1511
• Plan
• Continue to offer food and clothing assistance.
• Rent storefront in Canton.
• Recruit compassionate volunteers from North
  Canton and from area congregations to serve those
  in need.

Youth Program

• Description
• The purpose of the youth program at the North
  Canton Church of Christ is to assist families in
  the spiritual and social development of the youth
  of our congregation. The goal is to get the
  children to see that God loves them, that Jesus
  gave His life for them, and to understand what
  it means to evangelize someone.
• Plan
• Programs for all ages that emphasize Spiritual,
  Service and Social aspects of a Christian life.

Establish Sports and Outreach Ministry

• Description
• Establish a Sports Ministry Outreach Program. Use
  the popularity of sports as an outreach of the
  church.
• Plan
• Elders will recruit and convene a planning
  committee in 2008.
• Use the family life center for congregation
  members in the fall of 2008.
• Implement the planning committees
  recommendations in 2009 and 2010.
• Hire additional staff by 2011. Hire Director of
  Sports Ministry and additional administrative
  staff.
• Aim to use the building at any time night or day
  by end of 2009.

Family Circles

• Description
• They will know we are Christians by our love.
  Developing close personal relationships in the
  church and within our circle of friends,
  relatives, and neighbors is essential for a life
  of service.
• Plan
• Leadership training
• Program design that includes measurable goals and
  objectives for the program
• All Family Circles facilitators and trainees
  attend a Small Groups Workshop/Seminar.

Christian Education

• Description
• Teach Gods Word through qualified Christians.
• Plan
• Identify additional teachers.
• New teacher training
• Establish and monitor a Bible-based curriculum.

Facilities Maintenance and Administration

• Description
• Maintain our facilities as if it were our home
  and Jesus is coming to visit.
• Plan
• The Elders will build support, publish a clear
  job description for the deacon of this work.
• Conduct a yearly review to evaluate the goals and
  objectives.
• Develop a volunteer group to aid in this work
  utilizing the talents of many within our
  congregation.

Ladies Programs

• Description
• Enable the spiritual growth of our Christian
  ladies and develop outreach programs to aid
  ladies within our community
• Plan
• Develop Bible studies and prayer groups.
• Develop support groups.
• Develop an activity calendar with more
  opportunities for women to fellowship.

Financial Plan and Support

• We will add to our number (over 500) and our
  expanded facilities and programs will require
  additional support.
• We will strive to maintain our current budget
  support percentages as we grow.
• With Gods blessing on our service-oriented and
  evangelistic efforts, we will plant the seeds of
  growth.
