Title: An introduction to Merinda McLure
1 An introduction to Merinda McLure
2Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are
hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the
ground. -Rumi
3 It took me time to realize that it is not
which roles we fill, but how we fill them.
4PLACE
Is also part of who I am
5Born in Nelson, B.C.
- A diverse community
- Renowned for its natural beauty.
- Enriched by the strong presence of
- art, theatre, music and film.
- Home of the Kokanee Salmon.
Take a Virtual Visit to Nelson!
A great ski location!
6Australian Parents
- Perth, Western Australia originally home for Mum
and Dad. - Canberra (Ozs capitol)
- home for all of us for the year 1986
- Darn!
- Somehow we missed out on the killer sense of
humour that most Aussies possess!

7Sackville, New Brunswick, 1992-1994
Sackville is home to Mount Allison University and
is surrounded by the stunning Tantramar marshes.
The wind is almost a constant. It seems to
whisper through the layers of time embedded in
the geography. This summer I returned to
Sackville and the Maritimes for two glorious
weeks.
81998 1999 Hokkaido, Japan
- Hokkaido is Japans uniquely shaped northern
island. - Well loved by the Japanese for its wilderness
areas, lavender, melons, wine , seafood, and a
host of other regional goodies. - Replete with onsens- natural hot springs that
occupy a central place in the relaxation pursuits
of residents and visitors.
The onsen symbol.. Blessings at the end of a long
day!
9Teaching English, play days were amongst the
best twinkle twinkle and hokey pokey all over
again
10I became a confirmed sushi and onsen addict in
Japan
but I think I miss most the delights of fumbling
daily in a foreign language
and the way the everyday always yielded
something new and remarkable.
11 From HereId like to
Take art classes again and do further studies in
art history.
Find more time to be outdoors
Live and work in other countries
Continue violin lessons someday.
12For now...I take solace in...
A plentitude of baths
Warm drinks
Tending to a few plants
Trying to run regularly
13I look forward to
Bedtime.
14That brings us to the end.
Thank you.
May your journeys take you to good places.
