Problem

• Shopping is time-consuming and difficult.
• 1. Finding the Best Price
• 2. Finding the Right Product
• Current Solution
• Advertisements, visiting each store
• Researching consumer magazines

Solution

• Scan UPCs to look up prices

• Provide product information and ratings

• Make a recommendation based on that information
  and the users preferences

Tasks (Easy)

• While shopping at Circuit City, you see a new
  Sony walkman. Find the best price for the
  walkman.

Tasks (Moderate)

• Look up the ratings of the Sony walkman. You
  have a friend who owns one, and claims that it
  survived a drop off a cliff. Increase the rating
  for reliability.

Tasks (Difficult)

• Walkmans by Aiwa, Panasonic, and Craig are also
  on sale. Compare them to the Sony based heavily
  on reliability and battery life.
