- October 2006, TAGPA contacted PAARNG Safety
Office to work towards VPP application for Fort
Indiantown Gap Training Site (FTIG) Annville, PA. - Due to FTIG being an open post and multiple
tenants, the Army Aviation Support Facility-FTIG
was chosen to pursue VPP STAR status versus the
entire FTIG Training Site fence line to fence
line.

- 5 more sites will be applying for VPP STAR within
the next year. - Reduction in near misses has shown a reduction in
injuries. - VPP elements and sub elements are being
maintained at the AASF despite the AVN BDE
deployment and the loss of many FT employees who
were critical to VPP success.
