8 Local Area Network Computers
  • Provide access to the same programs in the
    classrooms and computer lab.
  • Save your work to your ID or in your teachers
    folder.

printing!

The Internet
  • You can access the Subscription Databases on the
    Belmont Ridge website at any time.
  • To access the Internet you must have a pass from
    a classroom teacher.
  • The pass needs to have the teachers signature
    and the approved website(s), which is the only
    website(s) you may access!
  • (Google, Yahoo, and Ask are search engines not
    specific websites.)

Library Procedures
  • Coming to the Library from class
  • You must always have a pass (in your agenda) from
    your teacher or a lunch pass to come to the
    library during class hours.
  • Remember to sign in on the clipboard at the
    circulation desk when you enter the library and
    to stamp your pass on the Time Clock.
  • Place your pass or agenda in the box beside the
    sign in sheet on the circulation desk.

Leaving the Library
  • Remember you are responsible for
  • Keeping track of your time
  • Signing out on the clipboard
  • Stamping your pass
  • Getting your agenda or pass signed by a library
    staff member

Coming From Resource
  • If you need to visit the library during your
    resource period, you may do so with a pass from
    your resource teacher.
  • Remember to follow the sign-in procedures and
    keep track of your time

Checking Out Books
  • Students will come with the Language Arts /
    English class every two weeks. You can come in
    between that time to check out resources as well.
  • Check out items at the circulation desk and be
    ready to give your 6 digit ID . This is the
    same ID used on the network and in the cafeteria
  • Helpful Hint To help you remember, write your
    ID on your birth date in your agenda!

Library Check-out
  • Books may be checked out for 2 weeks and
    renewed if it has not been requested by another
    student or teacher.
  • Magazines the current editions always stay in
    the library. You may check out old issues
    overnight.
  • Return books and magazines in the book drop.
  • Everyone leaves with something
    a book or an overdue notice.

Remember if you have overdue books or
magazines you may not check out any
additional materials until overdue
items are returned!

Manners Please!
  • Please renew your books if you are not finished.
  • Please say your ID clearly when checking out
    materials.
  • Leave books on the front edge of the book shelf.
  • If you change your mindput the book on the
    purple cart.
  • Return magazines and newspapers to their
    designated location when you leave.
