- Below are some of the effects of the Tsunami
(Underline the secondary effects (remember
secondary effects are the after effects of the
wave and shaking). - Financial costs in monitoring and surveying
infected water. - Contaminated food and water supplies.
- Infrastructure (homes, buildings, roads)
destroyed by waves carrying debris. - Disease caused by decaying bodies and stagnated
water. - Illness resulting from poor access to those most
in need (as roads and general infrastructure is
destroyed). - Drowning and broken limbs (due to people being
washed into debris like houses and trees). - Cost of restoring local amenities-schools,
healthcare centres, water supplies and housing. - Psychological impact of peoples feelings towards
their home.
