  and safe reach
• Insulate pipes under sinks to protect wheelchair
  users from burns

• Smaller roof less heat loss
• Roof color
• light colored roof reflects heat
• dark colored roof absorbs heat
• Closets storage areas should be placed on North
  side of house to help insulate
• In colder climates, compact 2-story homes are
  easier to heat
