Build Awareness

• We see many green initiatives inside
  organizations led not from above, but by
  concerned employees
• We can all reduce our carbon footprint in our use
  of IT
• Turn off lights, monitors, and systems not in use
  such as overnight or at lunch be particularly
  aware on hot days
• Place transformer bricks on power strips with
  on/off switches and turn them off when not
  powering a connected device
• Inventory equipment and circuits consolidate
  and remove whats not needed
• Upgrade older equipment with more energy
  efficient options total cost of ownership may
  be less
• Use collaboration tools look for ways to avoid
  trips that release CO2
