  • Nature school goals into the Finnish National
    Strategy for Sustainable Development Education
  • Fostering the planning process for Regional
    Environmental Education Centers, especially in
    Uusimaa Region
  • Expert meeting in Luneburg

  • Three program packages
  • Rural river adventure in the Vantaa river area.
  • Age group 4 - 8 years, (day care groups and
    first and second graders). Duration 2 hours.
  • The program includes a story about Elf Krissi (an
    old inhabitant of the Rural college estate),
  • games, learning by doing, experimental learning
    and examining some of a
  • little creatures that live in the Vantaa river
    bank.
  • Nature school day by the Vantaa River.
  • Age group mainly 9 - 12 years (more demanding
    work for grades 7-9 and sixth-formers)
  • Duration 4 hours. The program includes group
    activities, games, examining the riversides
    habitants and
  • their eco-system, fishing, opening up a fish,
    examining water animals and plants with
    microscopes,
  • arts and crafts, e.g. making fish from papermass.
  • Agriculture adventure
