What Do We Do?
  • Help
  • Children and young people in the UK who encounter
or have encountered violence, neglect, poverty,
    homelessness, sexual abuse or profound
    disabilities from a young age.
  • Children who are unable to realize their full
potential at school or socially because of
    disadvantages they faced.
  • We help these children by raising money. In 2003
    30 MILLION was raised.

6
What Happens With The Money Raised?
  • Each year the money raised by BBC Children in
Need is divided up equally and distributed to
    organisations around the UK.
  • The organisations that receive the money help by
providing effective and practical ways to improve
    childrens lives.
  • Every organisation has its own way of helping.

7
What If Organisations Need More Money?
  • When an organisation needs more money, they fill
out a form and send it to C.H.I.N.
  • The from is asking for a grant-a specific amount
    of money
  • If application successful, theyll receive the
    money.
  • The size of the grant ranges between 100 150
    000
  • The BBC C.H.I.N. takes in which children are in
greatest need before making the grant successful.
