Title: The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army
Online Red Kettle
2
Tradition of Giving
  • In 1891, a Salvation Army Captain had
resolved to provide a free Christmas dinner to
the poor. Utilizing the idea that he had seen in
England of a Simpsons pot where passersby
would toss in charitable donations the concept of
the Red Kettle was born. This idea spread from
the West coast to the Boston area. Now, Red
Kettle donations are not only used to help those
in need during the holidays but throughout the
    year.

Online Red Kettle
As a business you too can join our fundraising
efforts
  • As a supplement to a traditional Kettle, the
Online Red Kettle is available for your business
    this year.
  • As you set up your Business Kettle page you will
have the opportunity to insert your own image and
message explaining why your business has chosen
    to support The Salvation Army.
  • You can provide further visibility to the public
at large by posting your Online Red Kettle link
    directly on your business website.
  • All donations are securely made directly to The
Salvation Army and donations are easily seen in
real time on your Business Kettle page.
  • Our system is designed to automatically provide a
thank you and gift acknowledgement to the donor
within minutes of their transaction. It also
acknowledges how appreciative we are of your
    business.

The Salvation Army Commitment
What happens to my Kettle Contributions
  • Kettle contributions will assist The Salvation
Army in your community in providing meaningful
assistance to many needy families, children and
shut-ins, at Christmastime and year round. The
Red Kettle is a tradition that The Salvation Army
has preserved for 126 years. Your donation helps
    make that possible.
  • All contributions are routed directly through The
Salvation Armys secure donation system. Our new
online Red Kettle system will handle all thank
you and gift acknowledgements electronically by
    sending notifications to each donor.
  • Kettle donations will be routed to The Salvation
Armys servicing unit based on the donors
    choice.
  • In your community and around the world, at
Christmas and every day of the year, The
Salvation Army pledges to Do The Most Good with
    your contributions.
