All About Me

• This is my first year teaching.
• I graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University
  with a Psychology Degree in 2005 and a Masters in
  Education in 2006.
• I live in Parsippany.
• I would love to own a Daycare one day.

• My favorite place to be is the beach.
• My favorite color is purple.
• I am an animal lover. I have a dog and a cat.
• I love dolphins.
• My favorite food is french fries.
• My favorite season is the Spring.
• My favorite holiday is Christmas.
• Does anyone here have some of the same
  favorites as I do?

Fun facts about the class!

• We will begin every class with a fun story or a
  joke. I like to see everyone smiling.
• We will have carpet time during every class. This
  includes learning the calendar, ordinals, story
  time, etc.
• We will have center time at least 3 times a week.
  Centers include science math, art, housekeeping
  and blocks.
• We will a reward system for good behavior.

Reward System

• One of the most important aspects of my
  kindergarten class is teaching and rewarding
  positive behavior. I have created a system in
  which students are rewarded for using kind and
  respectful words among their peers as well as
  using their manners.
• Students are rewarded with a pizza party, movie
  day, extra play time, etc. if they are able to
  use kind words and their manners each week.

Parent Expectations

• What I expect from you, the parents.
• Communicate with me at all times whether it be
  negative or positive.
• Participate in special events that we have in the
  class.
• Take time out of your day to talk to your child
  about their day at school.
• Work with your child on his/her class work.
• Send a healthy snack for your child.
• Hug and kiss your child before sending them off
  to school!

Student Expectations

• Use kind and respectful words when speaking to
  your peers and me. Can I have an example please.
• Use your manners in school. Example
• Ask questions.
• Clean up after yourself.
• Raise your hand if you have something to say.
