Teen Night!

• There will be a Middle School Teen Night at the
  Glens Falls YMCA on Saturday night from 730
  1000. Please arrive by 815. Activities include
  swimming, dance-dance-revolution, basketball,
  dodgeball, snowshoeing, dancing and water polo!
  This Teen Night is FREE and open to students in
  grades 6th, 7th and  8th

• field trip permission slips can be picked up in
  Room 115.

We need your help 

• Over 300 million children worldwide are without
  shoes.  Over 1.5 billion pairs of shoes sit in
  closets all over America.  If you have shoes or
  sneakers that you have outgrown, or just don't
  want to wear anymore, please donate to the
  Soles4Souls project at QMS. 
• Global Community Advisors are sponsoring the shoe
  drive from February 2nd through February 13th. 
  In the main lobby you can deposit your "slightly
  worn" footware to be donated to children in
  need.  Ask your siblings, neighbors, ask anyone
  for shoes!  Simply rubberband them together and
  drop them in the box.  They will find a child who
  needs them.
• Look for the Soles4Souls drop box located next to
  Ms. Masiero's desk in the main lobby and make a
  donation for a great cause.  Please see Mr.
  Brannigan or Mrs. Locklin for further details.

Sports Physicals

• will be on March 4th. 
• Please sign up in the Nurse's Office by March 2nd
  if you will be doing a spring sport and would
  like to get a physical done at school

1st Dance of 2009

• Will be held this Friday night! Tickets will be
  on sale during lunch periods until Friday.
  Tickets purchased in advance are 3 and 5 at the
  door. Whether you buy your ticket at the door or
  during lunch, you MUST have a 28-09 school ID to
  purchase your ticket.

Refreshments

• Mr. Potter is in need of students to sign up to
  sell refreshments at the dance Friday night.
  Please sign up ASAP in Mr. Potters room 138.
  Once again, all volunteers will earn points in
  the Points Program.

Talent Show

• All students interested in a musical performance
  for the talent show, please see Mr. Carey Tuesday
  February 3rd in Room 215 for a brief meeting.

• Due to the snow day, the Art Club Meeting will be
  rescheduled for Monday, after school.  We will be
  starting a new project, so all 6-8th graders are
  welcome.  Meet in Miss Mellon's room, 214.

• There are still 24 seats available on bus 2 for
  the Okemo Mt. ski trip forms are available from
  Mr. Potter or in the main office.
• Remember, we do have to fill the bus!
