9th Grade Advisory Registration

• Basic information
• 1 quarter class 1 credit
• 1 semester class 2 credits
• Most core subject classes are semester in length
  Math, Science, English, Social Studies.
• Most elective classes are quarter in length Art,
  Business Ed., FACS, Tech Ed.
• Exceptions Some elective courses in the core
  areas World Languages
• Need a total of 58 credits to graduate (see pg.
  6)
• Need a total of 16 credits per school year

• Math Students usually take 4 credits in grade 9
• Basic Geometry Basic Algebra

• Algebra I Geometry I

• Students usually take 4 credits in grade 10

Students in Band or Choir

• If you have a student registering for Varsity
  Choir or Wind Ensemble (grades 10-12), they
  should register for the American History year
  long course 1185 1187. (Unless they are
  registering for AP American History)
• If you have a student registering for Concert
  Band (grades 9-10), they should register for the
  Biology year long course 1040 1041.

Registration Process

• Registration Conferences Monday Feb. 2 from 430
  800 p.m.
• Register on-line via Skyward
• 16 credits plus four alternative courses.
• 18 credits only if your student is registering
  for Wind Ensemble and Varsity Choir.
