on your browsers address bar, copy, go to the
slide, paste (this creates a text hyperlink to
the source) http//home.nwoca.org/ - Type the date you accessed the informationNovembe
r 12, 2002 (spell out the month, correctly
punctuate and space the date) - Type the web page title as shown in its title bar
(restore shrink PowerPoint so you can see the
web pages title bar) NWOCA Home Page
Have a text box on the slide ready for the
address.
14Remove the graphics hyperlink
- Right click on graphic
- Click Hyperlink
- If Insert Hyperlink appears, there isnt a
hyperlink just close that window - If there is a hyperlink, click Remove Hyperlink
15Graphic layout
- Graphic should direct the readers eyes to the
text or important object on the slide
This man is looking off the slide, so the
viewers attention is led off the slide instead
of into it. Avoid this type of placement.
By moving the graphic so the man is looking onto
the slide toward the text, the viewer is directed
to the important part of the slide (text).
16Apply a Design Template
- From Format, apply a design template
- Most effective ones dark background with
light text
17Arrange slides usingslide sorter view
In slide sorter view, drag the slide to a new
location. To delete a slide, click on it, then
press delete on the keyboard.
18A dummy slide with a chart is a good test of
color
19Use a standard color scheme(Format Slide Color
Scheme Standard Tab)
- If you add text
- be sure it is the same font as the rest
- double check if you add something after using a
design template - the font probably isnt right if the text box
was added later
20Use a Custom Color Scheme(Format Slide Color
Scheme Custom Tab)
- Change most colors
- text
- titles
- accents
- lines
- hyperlinks (be sure it is clearly visible and
easy to read, not glaring)
21Be sure to proofread your presentation
- F7 to check spelling
- spacing (after comma and period)
- good balance, and make sure objects are large
enough to fill the slide, but keep a little white
space and some margins - consistent font (name and size) titles larger
than body, resource smaller than body - view the presentation to check for less obvious
problems too close to edge, overlaps
