This screen is to maintain and approve
authorizations for services documented through
Placement Information and Case Services.
SACWIS Service Authorizations

Services can be authorized in SACWIS through two
different processes depending on whether the
service is a placement service or a non-placement
service.
SACWIS Service Authorization
While placement services are recorded via the
Placement screen, non placement services are
documented via the Case Services screen. Both
can be accessed within a case.

Once the service status is provided the
authorize link will be activated and a
notification is sent to the Service Authorization
person to initiate a service authorization for
that child. Clicking the authorize link takes
the user to the Service Authorization Detail
page.

SACWIS Service Authorization Detail
In this screen the provider and standardized,
contracted or user defined cost information will
be populated into the service authorization.
Basic cost data for services that do not have a
standardized or contracted cost, as well as
supplements (per diem costs) to the basic cost,
will be entered in the service authorization.
Workers may update or view service authorization
record.

SACWIS Contracts
The Contracts tab is accessible via the
Provider/Workload tab. The Contract
Administrator manages and maintains the IV-E
Agencys contracts with a resource provider to
provide specific services at specified costs
(e.g. Managed Care).

SACWIS Contract Details
Contract Administrator may add, update, or amend
a contract as well as view history of all
contracts established to date for the resource
provider or the IV-E Agency.

Note For subsequent amendments, Begin Date must
be greater than the previous amended record
amended end date. Amended End Date must be
greater than the current records begin date.
SACWIS Contract Details
By clicking the Amend button, the Contract
Amendment Detail page will be displayed.
Amendment Number field is a system generated
number. Amended Begin field cannot be less
than the original contract begin date. Amended
Amount field is the amount of money to be paid
to the provider for the contracted services under
amendment.

SACWIS Contract Service History
This screen displays Contract Service History.
From this screen you can add the placement
service cost and the non-placement service cost.

In this screen, the Contract Administrator will
add the Contract Placement Cost details. Cost
Begin field cannot be less than original
(contract) Begin. This Pre-fills with the
contract Begin Date. Cost End field cannot be
greater than Contract End or less than the cost
begin. Pre-fills with contract End Date. Unit
Cost field pre-fill from the total cost if the
cost breakdowns are entered.

SACWIS Contract Service Cost Details
In this screen, the Contract Administrator will
enter the Non-Placement Services. The Unit
Cost field is pre-populate from the Total Cost
if the cost breakdowns are entered. Cost Begin
field cannot be less than the original (contract)
Begin. The system will pre-fill with the
contract Begin Date. Cost End field must be
greater than contract end or less than the cost
begin. Pre-fill with contract end date. Used
Units field is the sum of payment requests paid
unit amount for the selected contract.
