  • Since cards expire 24 months after their original
issue date, you may have cards within your
program that expire in other months.
  • Existing card are good through the last day of
their expiration month, i.e. cards due to expire
in August 2007 are good through August 31, 2007
cards due to expire in September 2007 are good
through September 30, 2007 and so on.
  • Reissue cards will be received no later than 10th
of the expiration month, i.e. reissue cards for
cards due to expire August 2007 will be received
by August 10th reissue cads for cards due to
expire September 2007 will be received by
    September 10th and so on.

Procurement Card Reissue Process
  • Pre-Reissue / Evaluation Process
  • The reissue criteria for PCards is as follows
  • Account is open
  • Cards that are temporarily closed are considered
    open and will be reissued.
  • Account is not over the credit limit
  • The PA can call Customer Service to get these
    cards manually re-issued
  • A card file will be pulled on July 5th containing
all cards that meet the above reissue criteria.
  • If a card is open on July 5th and subsequently
closed, you will receive the card but it will not
    be active.
  • If you feel you didnt receive all of your cards,
please contact the Program Coordinator Team.

5
P Card Reissue - Whats Changing?
  • MasterCard has established new character length
criteria for the Name Line 1 and Name Line 2
    embossed lines.
  • This will require ALL cards being reissued in
2007 and beyond to have a maximum of 21
characters (including spaces) for the Name Line 1
and Name Line 2 embossed lines.

6
PCard Reissue What is Changing?
  • By June 27, Program Administrators are required
to review NL1 and your NL2 for all cards to
    ensure that
  • That both NL1 and NL2 meet the new field lengths
of 21 characters maximum established by
    MasterCard
  • That Name Line 2 meets the standard convention
established by the CPA which for state agencies
and universities, is the 5-digit state agency
code followed by a dash and the agency
    name/acronym, i.e. 00304-CPA and for co-ops is
the 5-digit co-op number followed by a dash and
the co-op name/acronym. An entity can have
additional information following the CPA required
    naming convention for NL2
  • Submit any changes to the Program Coordinator
    team via e-mail at ccs-public-sector_at_chase.com
per specifications on the following slides.
  • If no changes are submitted the NL1 and NL2 will
be truncated after the 21st character.

P Card Reissue- Other Details
  • Cards will be issued with the same 16-digit
account number with same MCC restrictions and
    limits as today.
  • The security code (CVV2 code) on the back of the
card will change and the expiration date will
change to 24 months from date of reissue, i.e.
    August 2009
  • Because the expiration date will change, you will
need to update vendor files for any automatic
payments or debits to your card once your new
    card is activated.
  • Reissue cards will be sent to the PA unless you
    have requested otherwise.
  • If NEW cards are sent to the PA, then your
reissue cards will also be sent to the PA.
Lost/Stolen are replacement cards and not
    considered NEW cards.
  • The new card will need to be activated by the
cardholder once received by calling the
activation number provided on the card sticker.
  • Once the new card is activated, authorizations
will no longer be approved on the old card. Old
    cards MUST be destroyed.

13
P Card Reissue Cardholder Communication
  • The reissue criteria should be communicated to
    your cardholders.
  • Prevent them from mistaking the new card for an
unwanted solicitation that may cause them to
    discard the new card.
  • Help them understand why
  • They may have received a reissue card that had
been closed after July 5. Even though the card
was reissued, it will still be closed and cannot
    be used.
  • They may have received a card without the
requested embossing changes updated after July 5
  • They may not have received a reissue card at all
(in the case of an over the limit). The PA can
call to get these cards manually reissued.

14
P Card Reissue Cardholder Communication
  • JP Morgan Chase will assist by including a
statement message on p-card memo statements
beginning with the July 5, 2007 statement and
ending with the March 5, 2008 statement
  • Is your card expiring soon? Your card will be
good through the last day of the expiration
month. Look for your new card to arrive by the
    15th of the expiration month.
  • Only Cardholders setup to receive memo statements
mailed from JPMorgan Chase will get this message.
This message will NOT appear on statements
printed from Smart Data OnLine or PathwayNet.
