  • Praise and encouragement are the best ways to
    get pupils

  • Explain clearly what you are going to do in an

  • Familiarise yourself with the guidelines and
    policy
  • Find out who the designated Child Protection
    Officer is
  • this is normally the Head Teacher
  • If a pupil asks if they can speak to you in
    confidence advise
  • them to speak to their teacher
  • If a pupil does disclose something let the
    teacher know
  • immediately
