Topic C A Proposed Cross-Cultural Ministry For
My Local Church

• Do all the research and planning needed to launch
  a cross-cultural ministry in your church
• Survey size of groups in your community
• Determine which activities are needed
• Determine what leadership will be required
• Plan for training of membership

Topic D Launching Overseas Short Term Missions
in a Local Church

• Select overseas groups for which your church
  might have an affinity.
• Design a member awareness survey
• Decide on leadership structure.
• Determine what training will be needed.
• Decide how to present the program to your pastor,
  staff and congregation
• Write the report

Defending Your Research

• After paper has been accepted
• Distribute copies of your paper to class.
• Class members take turns answering questions from
  class about their work.
• Class members will write critiques.

Quizzes and Exams

• Study Syllabus
• How much of course grade comes from
• the weekly quizzes, and how much from mid-term
  and final exams
• Tests will be on content of textbook reading
• Assignments and class lecture notes.
• Tests are objective type no essays.

Discovery Day

• Invite friends now. Remind them later.
• Plan for them to attend this class, but also
  spend a few minutes in another class, before or
  afterward.
• Give instructor their mailing address early, so
  that he can write a letter of invitation on
  college letterhead.
• A prize is awarded to student who brings most
  guests.
