Geography

• Many rivers also flowed through ancient India
  making the land fertile. One of the main rivers
  to be used in ancient times was the Indus river
  in the north-west.
• India is a the second most populated country on
  the planet.
• India is bordered by the Arabian Sea, Bay of
  Bengal , Gulf of Myanmar, Indian Ocean and the
  countries of Pakistan , Afghanistan, China ,
  Nepal, Bangladesh, Burma and Bhutan.

Clothes

• A sari is a traditional woman's clothing. It is
  worn throughout India for both everyday use and
  special occasions.. There are different ways of
  wearing it, but, basically, it is wrapped around
  the body and over the shoulder and tucked

This is the top part of a salwar and khameez
which is sometimes called a 'pyjama suit'). It is
an outfit which is particularly popular in the
Panjab and with Muslim women.

• Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the
memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal at Agra, India.
With precious gems and stones pressed into its
walls, the Taj Mahal took 22,000 workmen 22 years
to complete. The Taj Mahal ia very famous in
India.

Bollywood
India has the world's biggest movie industry in
terms of the number of movies produced (around
800 movies annually, mostly in the Hindi
language. Tamil, Telegu, Bengali and Malayalam
are the languages in which most of the non-Hindi
films are made).

According to unofficial estimates available in
January 2001, the Indian film industry has an
annual turnover of Rs. 60 billion (approximately
US1.33 billion).

• Henna (Mendhi) is a natural product, a plant,
  growing in size from 3 to 5 feet and can vary
  slightly from region to region. Its leaves are
  then dried and ground to make the henna powder.
• Since it is a natural product, there are no
  known side effects.

  and we really liked it especially when we
