The Third Day
Then God said, "Let the waters below the heavens
be gathered into one place, and let the dry land
appear" and it was so. And God called the dry
land earth, and the gathering of the waters He
called seas and God saw that it was good. Then
God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation,
plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing
fruit after their kind, with seed in them, on the
earth" and it was so. And the earth brought
forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after
their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with seed in
them, after their kind and God saw that it was
good. And there was evening and there was
morning, a third day. day. Genesis 19-13

  was good (various ideas)
• Work with separating the waters not completed
  until day 3
• The raqiya separated the primordial (original)
  light from the creation
• Jewish wedding tradition of holding it on the
  third day of the week
• Wedding at Cana (John 21-10) took place on
  third day, first miracle
• Jewish teaching - Waters (Torah/Jesus) and Wine
  (life)
• Speaks prophetically of his marriage to the
  church (His bride)

Disorder to Order

• Morning and evening
• Erev obscuration, when darkness begins to
  hinder ability to discern forms, beginning of
  confusion
• Boqer becoming discernable, distinguishable,
  beginning of perception of shapes and forms
• 2nd Law of Thermodynamics
• The deterioration of the contents of our
  universe going from order to disorder
• Result of sin / the fall of mankind

The Cosmos

• What is it?
• An orderly or harmonious system.
• It originates from a Greek word ??sµ?? meaning
  "order, orderly arrangement, ornaments,"
• It is the opposite concept of chaos.
• Today - generally used as synonym for "Universe"
  (considered in its orderly aspect).

What Does It All Mean?
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your
fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have
ordained, What is man that You are mindful of
him, And the son of man that You visit him? -
Psalm 83-4 (NKJV)

The Fourth Day
Then God said, "Let there be lights in the
expanse of the heavens to separate the day from
the night, and let them be for signs, and for
seasons, and for days and years and let them
be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to
give light on the earth" and it was so. And
God made the two great lights, the greater light
to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern
the night He made the stars also. And God
placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give
light on the earth, and to govern the day and
the night, and to separate the light from the
darkness and God saw that it was good. And
there was evening and there was morning, a fourth
day. Genesis 114-19

What Are the Lights
Then God said, "Let there be lights in the
expanse of the heavens

• An important distinction
• Owr Hebrew word for light
• Maowr means luminary or light bearer
• light does not originate with light bearers
• Vessels to carry it or reflect it
• Broadcasters of its properties (like a
  television)

The Light Bearers

• Light Refresher
• First creative act moving from disorder to order
  in Genesis 13
• Light is dependant on God for its existence
  brought forth by His Word
• Presence and activity pre-existed the
  lightbearers demonstrates Gods dominion over
  the created order

• Light Refresher
• Symbolic division between
• Good and evil
• Order and confusion
• Kingdom of God and kingdom of the Enemy

Characteristic of God and His Attributes
And this is the message we have heard from Him
and announce to you, that God is light, and in
Him there is no darkness at all. - 1 John 15

The Light Bearers
God speaks and acts on multiple levels

• Prophecy
• Greek mind spoken word and later fulfillment
• Hebrew mind prophetic pattern
• Allows for types (Adam/Christ, Nehushta/Christ)
• Are we (children of God) the light bearers?

"You are the light of the world. A city that is
set on a hill cannot be hidden. "Nor do they
light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a
lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in
the house. "Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works and glorify
your Father in heaven. - Matthew 514-16 (NKJV)

The Light Bearers

• We are
• To be separated from the darkness
• To reflect and carry His light
• To be on display before all creation and give
  light
• Not to shine for our own benefit but serve Gods
  purposes

"But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be
full of darkness. If therefore the light that is
in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! -
Matthew 623
