Overcoming the World

• The cares of this world and the deceitfulness of
  riches choke the Word and make a man unfruitful
  Matthew 1322

  our Lord, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our
  sin, that He might deliver us from this present
  evil world. Galatians 14

Overcoming the Flesh

• For the flesh (our carnal nature) desires what is
  contrary to the Spirit and the Spirit desires
  what is contrary to the flesh. They are in
  conflict with each other so that you do not do
  what you want.
• Now the works of the flesh are obvious, sexual
  immorality, impurity and debauchery idolatry and
  witchcraft hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of
  rage, selfish ambition, dissentions, factions,
  and envy drunkenness orgies and the like. I
  warn you that those who practice these things
  will not inherit the kingdom of God.

• Not adequately dealing with the world, denying
  the flesh or resisting the devil may open
  doorways for the enemy to legally harass, torment
  and access your mind, body, emotions and spirit.

  can take your stand against the devils schemes.
  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
  but against the rulers, against the authorities,

  the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly
  realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God,
  so that when the day of evil comes, you may be
  able to stand your ground and after you have done
  everything to stand. Eph.

In closing.

• Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of
  Gods mercy, to offer your selves as living
  sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God this is
  your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any
  longer to the pattern of this world, but be
  transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then
  you will be able to test and approve what Gods
  will is His good, pleasing and perfect will.
