The E-Series is a patented energy-saving lighting
power controller for use in any single to 3-phase
lighting system. The controller is designed for
use with HID lamps such as high and low-pressure
sodium, metal-halide, pulse-start, and mercury
vapor, as well as fluorescent or any combination
of the above. The controller reduces the power
consumed by existing commercial and industrial
lighting systems by the amount you request, up to
36. The E-Series is installed between the
lighting circuit breaker and the load (lights).
It is designed to supply full power for a period
of time to allow the lamps to fully warm up and
achieve full brightness, it then automatically
reduces the power supplied to the lamps, saving
energy and extending lamp and ballast life.
The Controller actually IMPROVES light output
over time, delaying Lamp-Lumen Depreciation (LLD)
and extending the lamp life. The E-Series helps
the Environment The dramatic reduction of energy
usage means reduced power generation and less
greenhouse gases. Each E-Series Modular Power
Controller is engineered and manufactured to
provide a short payback period, typically about
36 months which translates into an outstanding
Return On Investment (ROI). E-Series modules are
stacked in a standard NEMA Enclosure. There is

- Construction
- The unit can be wall, floor or strut-mounted,
depending on local regulations. - The Enclosure door is secured to prevent access
to the unit during operation, except by a
qualified service electrician. - All metal parts are either painted or plated to
provide corrosion resistance. - The E-Series is constructed in accordance with
NEMA, NEC and Underwriters Laboratories
specifications and guidelines. Listed, UL
Classification 916 (Energy Management Equipment.) - Operating environment -4 to 167 F 0-90
humidity, non-condensing. - The E-Series is constructed of heavy duty
components using a minimum of moving parts. NEMA
enclosures are used to protect the equipment and
all components are sealed where appropriate.
Stainless Steel enclosures are optional. Arges
commitment to reliability results in an expected
useful life of 30 years. - The E-Series does not require control wires to
operate in conjunction with Energy Management
Systems, photocells or time clocks.
Installation and OperationThe E-Series is
engineered to be simple to install and use. It
is installed between the lighting service panel
and the lighting loads. It is completely self
contained requiring no outside components or
elaborate installation procedures. In most
cases, simply mount the unit either on the wall
or on the floor, disconnect the circuit breakers
on the load side, connect the load side of the
circuit breaker to the appropriate power
controller module (line connector), connect the
load wires to the Load 1 connector on the power
controller. Repeat this process for each light
circuit. Once installed, operation is completely
automatic and requires no outside intervention of
any type. The savings begin almost immediately.
The E-Series also reduces harmonics caused by
lighting ballasts, by the same percentage as the
power reduction
