  • Every student can benefit from career
    exploration.
  • It is good thing to be undecided.
  • Nationally, one out of five students changes
    their major during the time between their
    admissions visit and their first day of class.
  • Three out of four entering students express some
    uncertainty about their choice of major.
  • Roughly 60 of students change their major at
    least once before they graduate.
  • As you explore careers, let go of the belief that
    there is only one right career for me.

identify the qualities and attributes that they
seek in new hires. The attributes below are
listed in rank order. You will obtain these
skills in any major here at USD.

    must couple it with academic planning.
  • General education courses are certainly one way
    to explore possible majors, but they should never
    be your only way because it utilizes a process of
    elimination.

    all the majors you are considering.
