The Feast of Unleavened Bread

• Passover commemorated the historical deliverance
  of the Jews from Egypt as Gods angel passed over
  the houses of the Israelites and struck dead the
  firstborn of the Egyptians.

The Feast of Weeks

• Also known as the Feast of Harvest, Day of
  Firstfruits and Pentecost. It was celebrated
  seven weeks, or 50 days, after the beginning of
  Passover, and was a time of celebration and joy
  for the harvest with which the Lord had blessed
  his people.

The Feast of Tabernacles

• A harvest thanksgiving when people camped out in
  booths tents made of branches to remember how
  their ancestors had lived in the desert.

Each Feast Had a Meaningto be Remembered

• An so we come to the Lords Supper in Communion
  with the Lord and each other to remember what
  Jesus did for us at the Cross.

Do this in remembrance of me.

• Communion is open to all Christians who desire to
  participate in remembrance of our Lords death,
  burial and resurrection.

Do this in remembrance of me.

• You may take a portion of the bread (which
  represents Christs body) and drink the grape
  juice (which represents His blood) as it is
  passed to you, or simply pass the tray on to the
  next person.

to Give

• In 1422-29 Give a Tithe of Everything You
  Produce to God
• In 151-11 Cancel Debts Every Seven Years so
  that there will be No Poor Among You
• In 1512-18 Let Servants Go Free after Six Years
  of Service
• In 1519-23 Set Apart Firstborn of Animals to the
  Lord

He Made the Feasts a Time of GivingDeut. 1616-17

• Three times a year all your men must appear
  before the Lord your God at the place he will
  choose at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the
  Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles. No
  man should appear before the Lord empty-handed
  Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to
  the way the Lord your God has blessed you.

Family Matters These are the commands, decrees
and laws the LORD your God directed me to teach
you to observe in the land that you are crossing

decrees and commands that I give you, and so that

to conduct themselves in God's household, which
is the church of the living God, the pillar and
foundation of the truth. (1 Tim 315)

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and
aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and
members of God's household, built on the
foundation of the apostles and prophets, with
Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
In him the whole building is joined together and
rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in
him you too are being built together to become a
dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. (Eph

Where Family Matters
Assemble the people--men, women and children,
and the aliens living in your towns--so they can
listen and learn to fear the LORD your God and
follow carefully all the words of this law. Their
children, who do not know this law, must hear it
and learn to fear the LORD your God as long as
you live in the land you are crossing the Jordan
