Universities Involved ? All French universities,
under national regulations. ? Most of the major
Australian universities (in SA, 1 cotutelle at
UNISA), each university having its own
regulations.
Tuition fees ? In the frame of Cotutelle, the PhD
student is exempted from paying registration fees
at one institution. ? He (she) pays fees only at
his (her) home institution. ? Amendment 1 of the
guidelines for CGS, 01/01/05.

? From 1995 to 2004 1041 cotutelles with 69
countries have been supported by the French
Ministry of Research for a total amount of about
5.5 millions . These figures do not take into
account the support from International Division
of Ministry of Education and from the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs
? From 2002 Cotutelles are more and more part of
the the 4-year grants system between
universities and Ministry of Education and
Research
