IssueNet Get Liaison Help
  • http//issuenet.nafsa.org/index_html
  • Get Liaison Help
  • Before submitting a case to NAFSA IssueNet,
please be sure to follow the following protocol
  • Exhaust all normal channels for resolution of the
    problem, including
  • For cases at USCIS Service Centers, check the
Case Status Online and List of Processing
    Dates web site at https//egov.immigration.gov/c
    ris/jsps/index.jsp
  • Check status of J Waivers at U.S. Department of
    State at the following website
    http//travel.state.gov/visa/tempvisitors_info_wai
    vers.html
  • If Case Status Online still says pending, and
the application is at least 30 days beyond the
processing date shown for that application at the
Service Center, then you can submit an inquiry to
    USCIS via email at VSC.Schools_at_DHS.gov

26
Get Liaison Help Notes
  • The submitting DSO/A/RO will receive an email
reminder from IssueNet when the RegOmbud submits
a Case Note or Update on the case. The DSO can
then login to Get Liaison Help and click on the
case to see the Status, Case Note, or Update.
  • Respond to the RegOmbud by submitting a new Case
Note while logged in to your case on IssueNet.
  • When an update on the case is sent, the RegOmbud
will be emailed a notification. The RegOmbud
will login to IssueNet to view any updates.
  • A Case may be marked as Resolved when the
RegOmbud has done all available action on a
particular case, even when the application or
request has not been approved by the government
agency. A Case can always be re-opened by the
Submitter if additional follow-up is necessary.
  • If the case requires more specific conversation,
the RegOmbud can email or call the DSO/A/RO
submitting the case. All correspondance should
occur within IssueNet so that the case
information can be tracked and used for
additional advocacy by the RegOmbud or NAFSA.
