Much is still the same

• Access voicemail the same way
• Same key presses to listen to messages, as well
  as to save, delete, reply to, and forward
  messages
• Still able to send a message from one mailbox to
  another without ringing the phone
• Still able to create groups (distribution lists)
• Can still be paged when receive a new voicemail
  message (all or urgent only)

• Still able to skip voicemail box greeting when
  leaving message (press instead of 5 with this
  system)

Quick Overview of Changes

• Deleted messages are saved for 3 days before
  being permanently deleted
• Unread and read messages are saved for 90 days
• Call attendant feature is accessed using 0
  instead of 03
• The new system uses some different terms than
  PulsePoint such as SKIP means to save the
  message and move on to the next one UNREAD means
  new messages
• No faxes in voicemail

Accessing Voicemail

• Dial X2525
• Press the VMAIL button on your phone
• Dial 5
• The default password is 1111
• The tutorial (setup guide) plays the first time
  you enter your mailbox

Cool New Features

• Change Status automatically plays gone home
  greeting at the push of a button in your
  voicemail
• Auto Play automatically plays all your messages
  without any key presses from you!

Message Forwarding and Wake Up Call (very
briefly)

• Message Forwarding if someone is on vacation,
  all their voicemail can be forwarded to another
  extension
• This takes some getting used to try it out if
  you wish and call us with questions. The guide
  goes into greater detail.
• Wake Up Call allows you to set a particular
  extension and particular time that Voicemail
  should call and wake you up!

Optional Greetings Galore

• The tutorial has you record the first 3 already.
  They are played automatically in specific
  circumstances.
• You have 99 optional greetings available. You
  would select to record one using any two digit
  number and then select it to be your active
  greeting.
• Dont forget to unselect it when you return to
  the office! There is no prompt in voicemail
  alerting you that a different greeting is playing!

message not in the header or at the end of a
voicemail message. We are working on these keys
and changes may be made!

Implementation of UCP

• Currently being tested in Information Technology
• Target date August 10th for campus
  implementation
• Come in that morning and go through tutorial
• Remember you can still access the old system
  until September 30th
