• The GTC Teacher Learning Academy offers public
  andprofessional recognition for teachers
  learning, development and improvement work
• It aims to stimulate learning experiences for
  teachers which are effective to them, their
  pupils, their schools and for the education
  service.
• It seeks to support learning communities within
  and beyond schools that enrich teaching practice
  and support innovation.

• a national system, piloted for 3 years, which
  provides public and professional recognition for
  teachers learning, development and improvement
  work
• a staged framework for recognition
• six core dimensions underpinning a learning
  process
• emphasis on collaboration within learning
