Centre Issues
- EGSC is a mixed sports club
- In 2004 EGSC had two Netball Leagues 1 Senior
and 1 Junior league - 600 people playing netball
- Poor facilities significantly limiting the
ability of the sport to encourage youngsters to
take part and for the clubs to develop - The facilities were on two separate sites that
presented major difficulties for the sport - On two sites - organisational challenges for
leagues and fixtures - Neither had floodlights
- Negligible parking
- No toilets
- No Changing Facilities
- Often had to clear up courts before play i.e.
broken glass, etc - Playing surfaces very slippery
- Very unsafe environment for young girls in the
winter months

- Improve social aspect of sport in order to
- Provide a safe, family friendly environment to
play - Provide an opportunity for spectators
- Provide facilities that were of the highest
quality - Improve opportunities to coach youngsters by
having all the clubs at one site - More opportunities to train for the individual
teams as the courts are available more often - Improve ability to run half term camps and
courses - Opportunity to try other sports at EGSC
