Centre Issues
  • EGSC is a mixed sports club
  • In 2004 EGSC had two Netball Leagues 1 Senior
    and 1 Junior league
  • 600 people playing netball
  • Poor facilities significantly limiting the
    ability of the sport to encourage youngsters to
    take part and for the clubs to develop
  • The facilities were on two separate sites that
    presented major difficulties for the sport
  • On two sites - organisational challenges for
    leagues and fixtures
  • Neither had floodlights
  • Negligible parking
  • No toilets
  • No Changing Facilities
  • Often had to clear up courts before play i.e.
    broken glass, etc
  • Playing surfaces very slippery
  • Very unsafe environment for young girls in the
    winter months

  • Improve social aspect of sport in order to
  • Provide a safe, family friendly environment to
    play
  • Provide an opportunity for spectators
  • Provide facilities that were of the highest

    teams as the courts are available more often
