What we say
Pupils engaged with subject matter good,
because they often hear Shakespeare and groan!
They enjoyed this and, therefore, enjoyed the
work for the rest of the half term.
There was evidence of improved learning from all
students
Pupils felt grown-up, because they had ownership
of their work.
Lower-ability pupils worked especially hard,
because they didnt want to be out-done by any
other students
The standard of work students produced was
measurably improved
8
What our students say
I think that the TASC Wheel was the best way to
do homework as it is fun and when homework is
fun, we get more done!
Its very useful to know the stages of the
project, it helps me be organised
It helped me because we learnt a lot before the
homework, so I could put everything I learnt into
the homework
I think the TASC wheel is okay, but a bit
confusing and not that good
It helped me with my work considerably. It helped
me remember what was essential to include in my
work.
9
How can we use the TASC wheel?
To carry out a project
To launch a new topic
To plan a Scheme of Work
To design a lesson
Creating a revision activity
When setting and marking a homework
To create a webquest
Reviewing learning of a topic
To complete coursework
Engaging students in role play
