- Membership and Trade Union Management
2The project to improve the management of
membership status
- However the economic entities, which are
organizing their business activity on trade and
service field, have increased during last few
years, but they just running their activity with
few number of human resource such as family
members. Such possibilities are occurring to
organize the Trade Union activity because the
companies that are handling trade and service
activity are changing to becoming supermarket
chains. Thus, we have started to implement the
project on increasing of Membership from April
2003. -
- Such research works have completed among the
organizations to organize Trade Union activity -
Such handouts and other materials has published
concerning Trade Union activity - Working team
has established and three employees are working
in it and such supports and investigations are
highly required from UNI-APRO and UNI-LC Japan
to provide the employees with salary. - The
implementation works are investigated in every
half- year.
3The short term aim of the project is to recruit
more than 500 memberships per monthThe long term
aim of our project is to recruit 10,000 members
by 2010.

4We are aiming to involve below mentioned places
and organizations into the project
- NOMIN
- BOSA
- SANSAR Wholesale center
- We are organizing many other activities to
increase the membership by making research among
the organizations and companies that are not yet
involved into the Trade Union.
5- For example Social Welfare Agency, which has
more than 400 employees to provide the disable
citizens with appropriate service and support.
Over 80 employees of them have been recruited. -
- The Pharmacy production and trade MONOSFARM
Network, which has more than 300 employees.
Recruitment is under way since September of this
year.
6- 3. We are co-operating with such organizations
and companies, which are organizing same
activity, to increase the number of Trade Union
members. We have made a research work and
practice in Japan how to develop the activity of
Trade Union by the support of UNI-LCJ. We have
received incomparable knowledge.
7- During last 3 years we are co-operating with the
Trade Union Committee of the Gobi Company
limited and Baganuur us and these organization
have affiliated to our federation as of September
1st.
8We have completed below mentioned changes in
connection with above-mentioned activities
- - Offices of President, Vice-President and
Treasurer are filled by lay members - - Introduction of position of General Secretary
- Financial reporting period changed from 4 to 2
years - The regulation of the committee has changed
- - The name of the committee has changed to
United Mongolian Trade Union Committee.
9We are trying to involve new memberships into the
committee and organizing many other activities as
well, but such problems are occurring on our
activity because
- We dont have enough ability to
organize such activity - We could not create
interest to become members of this
committee - This is also connected with lacking
influence in politics, society and employers -
This is also connected with unsatisfactory
advertisement - And also connected with
situation that we dont have enough handouts and
materials and independent advertisement to
provide employees with appropriate information of
the Trade Union.
10- The employees of private economical entities
are not working in the same company for long so
that the union always needs recruit new members
- New branch committees of Trade Union have weak
activity, this the financial resource could not
be strengthening- We are planning to improve the
implementation of project in further and will
reach our main focus.
