PROBLEM

• How can I find out which nuts squirrels prefer?

HYPOTHESIS

• If squirrels are given a choice between Arkansas
  native nuts in one feeder and non-native nuts in
  a second feeder, then I predict that the
  squirrels will prefer the nuts they are used to
  eating in Arkansas.

MATERIALS

• 2 Squirrel Feeders
• Acorns
• Walnuts
• Pecans
• Brazil Nuts
• Peanuts
• Hazelnuts
• Hickory Nuts
• Squirrel Feed (Starter)
• Squirrel Participants

PROCEDURE

• Hang squirrel feeders on different trees in yard.
• Fill with squirrel feed mix to attract squirrels
  to feeders ( 1 week).
• Fill feeder 1 with 10 of the following native
  nuts, acorns, walnuts, and pecans.

PROCEDURE

• Fill feeder 2 with 10 non native nuts (brazil
  nuts, peanuts, hazelnuts).
• Count nuts everyday to see which type is eaten
  most.
