7What is Windows Vista all about?
Helps businesses efficiently enable their people
to deliver greater business impact
Delivers VALUE
- Enables mobile and remote productivity
- Windows Vista enables mobile and remote
professionals to easily and securely connect to
information, networks, and people so that
individuals and teams are better equipped to
deliver business impact regardless of their
location. - Connects people to information Windows Vista
improves productivity by helping individuals to
find and organize information quickly, easily,
reliably, and more securely, enabling your people
to make better decisions, more quickly than ever.
Reduces COST
- Reduces deployment and support costs Windows
Vista enables IT Professionals to reduce the
complexity and cost of deploying and supporting a
more secure, reliable, and manageable desktop
infrastructure, so that your business gets the
most bottom-line return out of your IT
investments.
Lowers RISK
Provides a more secure and compliant desktop
platform Windows Vista helps reduce business
risk, better protects data, and contributes to
regulatory compliance with a more controllable
and secure environment
8Windows Vista Touchdown Programme for ISVs
- Benefits of Touchdown
- 20 hours of free support, provided through an
online portal (BetaOne) to which you would be
given access and also 5 days of training for one
of your technical staff. - Training courses will start in April and finish
in June and, once signed up for the program we
will ask you for your preferred dates. - We are also looking to run additional events,
including labs and workshops, for partners on the
Early Adopter program - Watch this space!
- To participate in Touchdown you need to
- Be a Certified ISV Partner in the Microsoft
Partner Programme - Have a project in which at least one of the
relevant technologies is being used (see website
for details) and where appropriate, leverage new
capabilities of Vista. The project needs to be
associated with a real application (as opposed to
a prototype) which will be made available to
customers and be in development within 6 months
of us releasing Vista and WinFx. - Vista and WinFx are expected to RTM by the end of
2006.
