3Admin and General Plan
- Plan the activities for a year (year planner).
- Upgrade and update the web site on a weekly
basis. - Advertise the Societys activities including the
community services on the web site and other
communication and media channels. - Update and maintain the societys mailing list,
and announce events and activities to members. - Develop archive system/checklists for the
repeated activities. - Supervise daily prayers leadership.
- Supervise Jumah prayer speech and leadership.

- Introduced the year planner.
- Upgraded and updated of the website with the
Societys web master. - Updated and maintained the societys mailing
list/advertised activities. - Organized 2 Free Advice Sessions on Immigration
Enquiries with the cooperation of Latif
Solicitors. - Called for the Student Union Emergency General
Meeting to vote on 3 motions on - Motion on Danish newspaper.
- Motion on the right to education without
discrimination against religious needs. - Motion on the right to education without
discrimination against dress code.

- Supported FOSIS in issuing a joint statement
against the dress code policy at Imperial
College, London. - Distributed 300 copies of the Muslim Directory.
- Alliance with Student Respect Society against
Racism, Islamophobia and Anti-War efforts. - Organized a call for support Join us Campaign
which attracted new volunteers.

- Worked very close with the Univ. Welfare
Services - 250 extra grant for the Islamic Awareness Week
- Agreed to increase the capacity of the mosque
(short term), either by extending our mosque or
accommodating us in another place - Agreed to provide us with a proper mosque in the
new welfare service building (long term solution) - More involvement with the Student Union
Managements - 1 out of 7 members of the steering committee
(union) is a member of the ISOC committee. This
has helped us to gain an extra 2000 for the IAW
as a special grant - 4 out of 12 of the NUS delegates are ISOC
members. This has strengthen the position of the
Muslim students (FOSIS) at the NUS
7Financial Fund Raising Plan
- Arrange for fund raising activities to finance
ISOC activities. - Organize the membership campaign.
- Organize the society logbooks and be prepared for
auditing.
8Financial Fund Raising Achievements
- Income comes mainly from three sources fixed box
collection, temporary donation box and university
fund. - Income for the period August to November, 05 was
about 5994, and Expenses were about 6868. - Income for the period November, 05 to May, 06 was
about 15,339.30, and Expenses were about
12,679.54. - Raised more than 8,000 on Palestine Day on
28/04/06. - Organized the societys logbooks and accounts.

- Library
- Finalize the Library indexing
- Register Library membership
- Operate and maintain the Library
- Develop an audiovisual Library
- Introduce short Tafseer Lectures (15 minutes)
after Zuhr prayer on Wednesdays and supervise
daily Hadeeth reading. - Organize 3 main lectures throughout the year.
- Arrange a short course every term on different
Islamic subjects. - Supervise the operation of the study circles.

- Finalized the Library Indexing and made it
available for members. - Organized the following Public Lectures for the
fellow Muslims - Tribulation before End of Time by Sheik Uthmaan
Latif on 12/1/06 - Dawa to the right path by Sheik Farhan Obaid on
5/3/06 - Mohammed the prophet of Mercy by Sheik Khalid
Al-Anbari on 23/3/06 - Arranged for attending Sheik Hamza Yusuf Lecture
in Salford about Between Ignorance Extremism
on 12/2/06. - Conducted the following Workshops and Courses
- Correct Quran Reading for non-Arabic speaking
sisters by Miss Noura Al-Ajroush every Sunday
afternoon. - Our role in Voluntary Org. by Dr. Musab Hassan
on 3/3/06 - Arabic Course for non-Arabs by Mr. Fouad every
Wednesday evening

- Organize ISOC participation in the Fresher Week
(for new students) - Organize Islamic Awareness Week
- Organize 3 main lectures by very well known
speakers addressed to non-Muslims. - Arrange for 3 main outreach programs in public
sites. - Supervise and improve the school visits program.
- Organize visits to the Masjeed for the University
students and staff. - Design and prepare Posters on Muslims
contribution in the different technical fields.

- Participated in the Fresher's Week (for new
students) in Sept 2005 - Participated in the Cultural Tent of the Tall
Ships Race in July 2005. - Organized the Islam at a Glance Exhibition in
the City Library between 19th Dec 05 to 3rd Jan
06. - Participated in the International Student
Information Fair on 22/2/06 in the Civic Center. - Organized the Annual Islamic Awareness Week.
- Distributed major Islamic Books to ALL Newcastle
City Libraries. - Organized the following public lectures and
Workshops - Beneath the Veil by Yvonne Ridley on 22/9/05.

Palestine by Tom Storrie - Hosted 17 school visits to the Masjeed.

- Organize Quran competitions for adults and
children. - Supervise and run Ramadaniat (Ramadans
entertaining and educational program) for both
adults and children. - Organize the two Eids social program.
- Enhance the masjed social life and appearance.
- Arrange for sport activities for adults and
children once every term.

- Supervise the kitchen operation and meals
providing. - Follow up on the maintenance and cleaning
operations for the masjjed. - Help and supervise the fitting of new equipments
(e.g. data projector, new audio system, fans,
fax, laminator, paper shredder, doors, lockers,
windows, carpet protector, shoe racks)

- Arranged for Jumuah Prayer Position Marking.
- Organized the daily activities during Ramadan.
- Followed up on the maintenance and cleaning
operations for the mosque. - Installed Fire Extinguishers in various locations
in the Masjjed. - Bought and Installed new equipments (e.g. data
projector, new audio system, fans, fax,
laminator, paper shredder, doors, lockers,
windows, carpet protector, shoe racks).
