HSP Framework
  • All students are assessed in mastery of skills
    and content in physical education and results are
    on the report card every term that physical
    education is required

What is Assessment?
  • Assessment is information gathered that examines
    what has been taught, practiced and learned.

What is Grading?
  • Grading is a report on students level of
    performance.
  • Goals and objectives should be set prior to
    assessment used for grading. The students grade
    should reflect a level of achievement compared to
    the objectives.

What is the difference between assessing and
grading?
  • Assessment reflects performance
  • Grading attaches value to performance

Assessment Drives Todays Education
  • No program that cannot demonstrate outcomes will
    be included in todays educational climate
  • Assess your students or lose valuable resources
    for your program
