- Boy leadership!
- Meetings, one hour each 3 - 4 times per month,
emphasis on basic scout skills, merit badges,
outing planning, leadership. - Weekend outings once per month, emphasis on
age-appropriate challenge, variety and fun,
modest equipment, skills and confidence,
leadership. - Summer camp, spring break, summer high adventure
opportunities. - Venture activities age 13 and above.

6Meetings 3/4 month
One hour each, 3 - 4 times per month, emphasis on
basic scout skills, merit badges, outing
planning, leadership e.g. --
7Weekend outings
Weekend outings once per month, emphasis on
age-appropriate challenge, variety and fun,
modest equipment, skills and confidence,
leadership.
8Summer camp, spring break
Great facilities, world-class adventure.
9Venture Scouts age 13
Compelling adventure and learning for seniors
(age 13 First Class rank).

Advancement, achievement with advancement, fun

- March 2 first meeting for new scouts.
- Meetings March - June make Tenderfoot, a few
Second Class tasks, field-craft training from
older boys. - March 27-28 Shake-down campout with new
scouts, Quantico. - April 3-11 Venture Sailing, Florida Keys (older
boys). - April 17-18 Camping (with cycling or hiking).
- May 15-16 Canoeing on the Rappahannock.
- June 12-13 Camping in Shenandoah Valley.
- June 27 - July 3 Summer Camp.
