Basic Facts about Salvation

• Salvation is only found in Christ (Acts 412
  Eph. 13)
• There is no salvation apart from the blood of
  Christ (Heb. 1011-14 1 Pet. 118-19)
• Given these facts, salvation is only possible
  because of Gods grace (Eph. 28-10)
• REAL ISSUE Does man need to respond to Gods
  grace with obedience to be saved?

Countering the Necessity of Water Baptism

• Overlook passages clearly stating baptism is
  essential for salvation (remission of sins)
• Ignore passages clearly stating the effect of
  baptism in bringing one into Christ
• Disregard every example of conversion in Acts as
  specifying baptism in each case
• Instead, those denying the necessity of water
  baptism often make this objection...

• Do not know whether thief was one of the
  multitude that was baptized or not
• Going against the odds to say he was not
