• Fulfills basic operational needs (daily
  operations reports).

• Fulfills need for statistical analysis.

• Relies on output files to gather information
  (created through both batch jobs and dynamic
  action).

• Queries the live data in the Voyager database.

• Content can't be easily viewed. Intention is to
  work from printed product.

• Content can be viewed, browsed, previewed, even
  altered in layout, before printing.

• Content can't be modified can modify some of the
  wording of text on printed product.

• Extremely malleable. Can be redesigned to fit
  specific needs.
