International Shipping

• The steps to ship internationally are nearly the
  same as domestic shipments, with one exception
  documentation, which depends on what you are
  shipping.
• Shipping documents? No documentation needed
• Shipping non-documents? Documents needed
  

• What is a document? The shipment inside the
  container is considered to be a document, or
  non-dutiable shipment, when it is a written,
  typed or printed communication with no monetary
  value.
• Conversely, if the shipment inside the container
  is of value, it must have accompanying
  documentation to identify the product and its
  worth so that government officials can apply the
  proper duties and taxes.

shipping as for domestic when sending only
documents (or non-dutiables).

International Documentation

• These are the documents most often used for
  international non-document shipments. In some
  cases, additional documentation will be required.

Invoice One original and two copies are required
for all international non-document shipments.
U.S. Shippers Export Declaration (SED) Required
for shipping single commodities valued at more
than 2,500 or commodities requiring a license
or license exemption.
Certificate of Origin Used to authenticate the
country of origin. Visit UPS.com or call
1-800-782-7892 for a complete list of countries
requiring this document.
