6DOE Policy Regarding Continuing Education
- DOE O 361.1A, Chapter IV, states that each
certified federal project director (FPD) is
required to successfully complete 60 continuing
education (CE) hours of approved training
biennially to maintain certification.
- By memo to the FPDs of August 25, 2006, the
Certification Review Board stated that - accumulation of CE hour credit will begin with
the most recent FPD certification date, and - CE hours accumulated prior to the most recent FPD
certification date will not be credited toward
the subsequent biennial period. - Failure to satisfy CE hour requirements may lead
to de-certification of the FPD.
