TWO SOURCES OF WISDOM
  • HUMAN WISDOM
  • GODS WISDOM

5
MANS WISDOM
  • For the message of the cross is foolishness to
those who are perishing, but to us who are being
saved it is the power of God. For it is written
"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise the
intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."

6
MANS WISDOM
  • Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar?
Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God
made foolish the wisdom of the world?

7
So How Do We Gain Wisdom?
  • Psalm 11998-99 says Your commands make me wiser
than my enemies for they are ever with me. I have
more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate
    on your statutes.

    to be fully obeyed.

Using the Word

    imagination.

24
Psalm 11917-24
  • Do good to your servant, and I will live I will
obey your word. Open my eyes that I may see

    times.

25
Psalm 11917-24
  • You rebuke the arrogant, who are cursed and who
stray from your commands. Remove from me scorn
and contempt, for I keep your statutes. Though
rulers sit together and slander me, your servant
will meditate on your decrees. Your statutes are
my delight they are my counselors.

26
  • We are strangers here on earth. Our true
    citizenship is in heaven.
  • Let the Word of Christ dwell richly in you.
